Boonsung Wreck

  • Boonsong wreck : Level 1 Open Water – Fair to medium visibility – moderate current
The wreck lies 18 meters 45 minutes away from sailing in front of the village of Ban Sak.

The old tin extraction boat sank in 1984 at a depth of 18m.
Deemed too dangerous because near the surface, the Thai Navy blew up the bridge to reduce its height as to establish the wreck that we know today, 10 meters high and scattered over 80 m.
Over the years, hard and soft corals have developed on the hull, which has thus become a large solitary artificial reef in the middle of a huge sandy surface, naturally attracting large schools of fish and a wide variety of crustaceans and coral fish settling there. : small barracudas, seahorses, angels,…
