Koh Doc Mai is at one-hour boat trip from Phuket. The bizarre rock formations both above and below the water are completely overgrown with a large variety of coral, which is the home to many species of colorful marine life.

Koh Doc Mai

Distance 7 NMiles
Boat trip 1 hour
Depth 6-35 Meters (30-130 ft)
Visibility medium to good
Diver Level all levels

A beautiful wall and drift dive along the limestone formation covered by acropora, octopus, lion fish, cleaning shrimp, up to a depth of 35 meters.

The West Side of the island features a steeply sloping reef. Both black-tip and white-tip reef sharks have been seen here as have many other large pelagic.

On the East Side of the island, there is the opportunity for an impressive wall dive and the exploration of a number of caves and caverns. The area is rich in invertebrates and has a good representation of tube corals. There are large moray eels and black-and-white banded sea snakes. Besides that, there is a good likelihood that you may see leopard sharks sleeping in the sand at the base of the wall.
