DIVEMASTER COURSE

Working closely with a PADI Instructor, you'll expand your dive knowledge and hone your skills as you become a dive professional. PADI DIVEMASTER training develops your leadership abilities by training you to supervise dive activities and assist instructors with student divers

People dive to enjoy the underwater world in comfort and safety and Divemasters are an essential part of that. You gain experience in communicating with divers and you will assume a role of responsibility for the welfare of others divers in your charge.

For you to advance to this professional level it takes 20 days of development in the following three areas.

1. A Divemaster has a high level of personal diving skills.

As a professional whose duties include supervision of others, you must possess a certain degree of watermanship ability and physical stamina. Since you will conduct skill demonstration during diver training, a high degree of skill competence is necessary.

You will be able to analyze and accomplish a task with another diver while underwater with some degree of stress, which you will demonstrate during the problem-solving assessment. Also you will refresh the skills you learned during the Rescue Diver course to verify your rescue ability prior to certification as a Divemaster

2. Development of your diving knowledge:

In this segment we will organize your academic training so you possess an in-depth knowledge of general diving theory and of the effects that physics, physiology, environment, equipment, dive tables, and various diving skills have upon a diver.

One of our goals is to encourage and prepare you for instructor-level training. In addition you will learn about Dive Planning. You’ll gain practical experience in Dive management and control in the session - Supervising Students in Training.

3. Practical Application of your knowledge and skills:

During this Internship you will gain working experience in organizing half-day and full-day boat diving excursions, supervising certified divers and assisting at every level of PADI diver training. You’ll probably find this part of your training most rewarding because you are interacting with divers before, during and after diving.
